Technical Keys

Many designers prefer technical keys, also called pseudo, surrogate, serial, or synthetic keys.

Code, name, and serial are all synthetic keys - invented identifiers.

Since 12 other states would argue that Pennsylvania was not the first state, admission is a questionable candidate key.
