The lightning bolt on the Line Style sub-menu is the choice which gives
you complete control.
It does not insert any automatic elbows into relationships and lines.
This setting allows you to draw lines at any diagonal. You can also insert and remove bend points manually and position them anywhere.
As soon as you select any dub-menu option, the drop-down menu closes.
To confirm that your choice stuck, reopen that menu.
