Data Structures

A data structure holds a collection of entities and attributes which the business world sees as one thing.

While a salesperson sees one sales order, the data architect sees -

• customer(s)
• one order header
• possibly several order items

Some DFDs and conceptual models capture data structures. They must eventualy be normalized.
