Blue
Screen of Death! While attempting to review System Architect
2001 I have experienced repeated, frequent system crashes in Windows
NT V4.0 - Terminal Server. After my first install I did not associate
the problem with System Architect so I reapplied service pack 5,
reinstalled my VGA drivers, and cleaned up the registry. The problem
gradually subsided after repeated fixes. But I have been unable to
restore some application functions associated with printing.
Then I received an SA update to V7.1.12_3 and installed that. BAM! Crashed again doing a simple screen drag. This time, smelling a rat, I did the usual fixes and then completely removed SA. My system is now stable. Of course, to prove my strong suspicion that System Architect is at fault, I would have to repeat the cycle in strictly controlled conditions. My apologies to Popkin, but I am unwilling to risk further damage to 13GB of programs and data. Therefore I will not perform any further reviews of this product. |
